This year’s report will be posted when available.

General Chairman: New chairman and/or show committee may be announced. We thank Kevin Charboneau for his service the past several years. Kevin will continue to assist at the PNNA coin shows.
Bourse Chairman: Scott Loos. Ph. 425-463-6551 (cell).

For Dealers – Contact Scott Loos for current status and bourse applications for all PNNA shows or download the 2025 spring bourse application here.

The PNNA convention is the oldest and biggest annual coin show in the Pacific Northwest.

PNNA coin shows normally feature a large active bourse, exhibits, and a popular young numismatist (YN) program. Past conventions have often featured a numismatic theater and club meetings; however, these activities have not been available since conventions resumed in 2022. But you can meet members of local coin clubs and find out about their meetings, including the Seattle Coin Club meeting (see below).

Location: Tukwila Community Center, 12424 42nd Ave. So., Tukwila, WA. A link to Google Maps is available on the TCC website. The 42nd Ave. S. bridge is one-way traffic away from the community center, so be sure to follow the detour signs when entering from Interurban Ave. S.

Note: New admission fees began with the 2024 show.
Admission/Hours – Public show hours: Friday Noon – 7 PM, Saturday 10 AM – 6 PM, Sunday 10 AM – 4 PM. Admission $5.00 per day, $10.00 for all three days. Children 12 and under are free, as are PNNA life members with photo ID badge. “Early Bird” admission (9 AM Fri/Sat/Sun) is $50.00.

Dealers – Up to 85 local, regional and national numismatic dealer booths. A dealer list and map are posted at each show. See the dealer list for the 2025 spring coin show in Tukwila.

Education/Exhibits – There were not any formal Numismatic Theater presentations in 2023-2024, however we did have some nice collector exhibits. Unfortunately, no rooms were available for either exhibits or theater at the spring 2025 show. We are hopeful that these activities might return at the fall 2025 Tukwila show.

Grading ServicesANACS returned to PNNA coin shows in the fall of 2022 and has continued to attend PNNA shows. A discount is available for certain U.S. coin submissions. The promo code is available on the ANACS website or in the ANACS advertisement in The Nor’wester. (See “Literature” below.) When an ANACS representative attends, the representative accepts submissions, but a grader is not present at PNNA shows.

SCC Meeting – Guests were invited to attend the Seattle Coin Club Thursday evening meeting (April 10 at 6 p.m.), also at the Tukwila Community Center. Thanks to Scott Loos, nationally recognized Conder Token authority Brian Herriott joined us in April. Brian provided an overview of the tokens’ historical roots, how and why to collect them, and how he first became interested in these 18th Century monetary replacements for British copper pieces.

Scout Activities – A Scouting America Coin Collecting Merit Badge workshop was held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1 p.m., in Tukwila at the annual convention and spring coin show. See the scouting page for the flyer and how to register. Scouting America (formerly BSA) programs are coeducational.

Security – The entry area at PNNA shows is under video surveillance. Your image may be recorded. These recordings could be shared with law enforcement in the event of an incident at the show. Registration for door prizes is optional. ID will be required to claim door prizes. See the PNNA privacy policy.

Youth Activities – Young Numismatist (YN) treasure hunt was offered on Saturday and Sunday (April 12-13), as part of youth and family activities. See Young Numismatist (YN) program information. In 2023-2024, the YN program was run by local volunteers, and was simplified so as not to require visiting “stops” on the bourse floor. For 2025, ANA Past President Walt Ostromecki returned to run the full program!

General Chairman’s Message by Kevin Charboneau:

See Kevin’s message in the 2nd Q 2025 edition of The Nor’wester. Kevin is looking for a new convention general chair, and/or for additional show committee members to assist with various tasks.
