PNNA 2nd Q 2019 Nor’wester convention edition

The 2nd Quarter 2019 edition of the PNNA’s publication, The Nor’wester, is now available online at http://pnna.org/news/pdf/PNNAnews2019_Q2.pdf.

Like last year, this is a 16-page spring convention special edition with eight color pages. Here’s a summary of the contents:

  • Important information about the upcoming annual PNNA convention in Tukwila (March 15-17), including a welcome message by General Chairman Kevin Charboneau.
  • PNNA President’s message by James Reinders.
  • An interesting article, “Manganese, an Almost Unknown Metal in Coins,” by Mark Benvenuto.
  • A summary of PNNA and ANA news available online, including information about National Coin Week.
  • Advertisements by ANACS, Heritage Auctions and local PNNA dealers.

This is a 16-page special edition for the annual Boeing Employees’ Coin Show in Kent, Wash., Jan. 19-20, 2019. There are eight color pages, similar to the spring and fall convention special editions that have been published for a number of years. Here’s a summary of the contents:

PNNA 3rd Q 2018 Nor’wester Washington State Fair edition

The 3rd Quarter 2018 edition of the PNNA’s publication, The Nor’wester, is now available online at http://pnna.org/news/pdf/PNNAnews2018_Q3.pdf.

This is a 16-page special edition with eight color pages, produced for the upcoming Washington State Fair in Puyallup. This is the first year that the PNNA has produced a special edition for the Fair, and its issuance is the reason for delaying the 3rd Q edition by one month.

Here’s a summary of the contents:

  • Welcome to Puyallup message by PNNA Fair Chairman Rick Schulz.
  • PNNA President’s message by James Reinders.
  • A report on the PNNA 69th Annual Convention, March 16-18, 2018 at the Tukwila Community Center.
  • Interesting feature articles:
    1. “Big Silver in the U.S., Canada – and the Whole, Wide World,” by Mark Benvenuto.
    2. “Courtesy Autographs by Signers of U.S. Currency,” by Anthony (Tony) Kalt.
    3. “Sowing the Seed now for a Harvest of Collectors later,” by Thomas (Tom) Tullis.
