PNNA 3rd Q 2020 edition of The Nor’wester

The 3rd Quarter 2020 edition of the PNNA’s publication, The Nor’wester, is now available online at https://pnna.org/news/pdf/PNNAnews2020_Q3.pdf.

Normally this would be the Washington State (Puyallup) Fair special edition, however, due to the cancellation of this year’s Fair, it’s a smaller 6-page regular edition. These pages were printed in black & white for mailing to members receiving paper copies, but you can view the pages in color online. Here’s a summary of the contents:

  • PNNA President’s message by Ed Fischer.
  • News about the Fair, about the PNNA and Willamette fall coin shows, about PNNA annual awards, and about collector exhibits.
  • Links to a few classic articles recently reformatted as PDF files on the PNNA website.
  • An interesting article, “Errors in the Description!” by PNNA Life Member Joe McCarthy.
  • Another interesting article, “Why Not Some Dime Re-Design?” by Mark Benvenuto.
  • An advertisement for the Inland Empire Coin Show, Aug. 22-23 in Post Falls, Idaho, which is one of the few shows still scheduled to take place in person.

Back issues of The Nor’wester are available online.

Once again, thank you for your interest in the PNNA!

New PNNA Website

Welcome to the new mobile friendly PNNA website built with WordPress! Some linked pages (mostly containing historical information such as past convention reports) will remain “legacy” pages on the old website for now. [As of 2023, most of these old pages have been replaced, some converted to PDF files.] An alternative menu page is provided in case the main menu at the top of each page doesn’t work correctly.

The full address of the new website is https://pnna.org/wp/ (“www” is optional), although if you simply type “pnna.org,” it should redirect automatically to the new website quickly. If not, there is a manual link to the new website. Several of the other high-level pages on the old website also redirect to the corresponding pages on the new website. [Most of these old pages are no longer available as of 2023.]

Enjoy the site – there are already more than 60 pages to view! If you find any problems such as broken links, or have any suggestions or educational content to add, or have any questions about PNNA events, please email info@pnna.org.
